When I started work on this design, my intention was to create an abstract interpretation of the element 'air',  to be the final in the a set I've been working on over the last month. 

The photo montage work contains  3 photos -  reflected clouds,  dew droplets and an earth surface.  The earth photo was to add texture,  but was always to be in the background.   

However best intentions often go astray as it wasn't long before I thought  of creating four variations of a single design,  with each portraying one of the elements through the use of colour and layer blends.

So my thoughts as I worked were about the idea that all the elements can work together  but when needs must one needs to become the driving force.
